Please come by & get some lemons! We have just one lemon tree, but I think there has to be a thousand lemons on it. We don't know what to do with them. You can only make so many vats of lemonade.......
So about a year ago I bought a baby lemon tree and potted it.. I was so excited and thought that by this year I would be able to plant the lemon tree and have wonderful mass amounts of lemons.. Fast Forward..My best friend and her husband were over hanging out and they saw my tree and I was excited saying that she would soon have to give me her recipe for her killer homemade lemonade.. they both laughed so hard as my best friends husband (who is a landscaper) informed me that my "little branch" would take 5-7 years to produce lemons... ohhhhhhh... still love my little tree and my response back to them was saying that we would be toasting with my lemonade in 2014 then! Anyways LOVE your blog..always makes me smile.. and your family is gorgeous.. Live in Gilbert, AZ would love to come and take some lemons off of your hands.. they will be going to a good home promise :) A lemon loving home..
I have a few FABULOUS recipes for lemon stuff! I froze the juice in icecube trays and keep them in a ziplock baggy for cooking. Now for the other 950 lemons... lemon curd and rosemary chicken and lemon ricotta cookies.
Holy cow! Those look so yummy. I wish I lived close by cuz I would be right over to get some.
ReplyDeleteWe have the same problem... ;)
ReplyDeleteOh I wish I could drive over and take a basket full. I have been craving lemon pie.
