I'm not a whole lot of fun these days.

And I just don't have time for this right now.

I can't help but mourn my old life.
As I walked around our Elementary School going to my kids' Parent Teacher Conferences....... in sweats, no make-up & bra-less..........I'd see other moms with their hair curled & wearing cute shoes & probably coming from getting a bunch of errands done & going to lunch with friends...........and I got so depressed!

And mad at Brian.

This is all his fault.

Something new with this pregnancy........now when I'm throwing up, I pee my pants at the same time! Fun.

10 weeks. Only 30 weeks to go!

This is the post that brings me out of anonimity.

Because this is one of the best, most honest, most real posts ever. It summons up all my emotions.

I KNOW how you feel and I KNOW where you are.

And, you're right -- it's AWFUL. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that the fist 16 weeks of my pregnancies have been the worst weeks of my life. Add it all together and it's well over a year of my life totally "wasted" (pun intended).

Sweet you. I'm so sorry you feel so crummy. Wish I could bring you dinner and take the kids.

-Robyn

P.S. -- Can't believe that you're only now starting to pee when you puke! Impressive. That started for me with baby #4.

Poise pads are genius. I actually blogged about them during my last pregnancy :)

Bless your heart! You look so miserable laying in that big beautiful bed. I hope you feel better once you get out of the first trimester. :(

I'm so sorry! I will never complain about being mildly sick during my pregnancies again!

Nicole...

Just wanted to say, I am so sorry babe! It is definitely the WORST ever! I was sick my whole pregnancy.. the throwing up stopped, but I was just nauseated all the time.

Hang in there.

It is worth it. My baby is 2 weeks old today... and she is pure heaven. David keeps commenting on how my recovery is going so well... and I told him.. compared to how I felt 3 weeks ago... I feel like a million bucks! Brian is probably better at understanding how you feel... but David was CLUELESS!

It was hard. And I wondered MANY times... "what was I thinking?!" even down to the morning of...

but now that she is here.. I would do it again!!!

Hang in there. And just remember... you are growing a person inside you! So even if it looks like you have done nothing all day.. you maybe just grew a pancreas for someone. :)

Love,
Beck

Had the same problem with my last two pregnancies. After a few too many changes of clothing I learned to keep a huge bowl in the bathroom and try to sit on the toilet while I puked in the bowl. Sometimes I didn't have time, but when I did I could avoid a change of clothing. Disgusting I know. The things we do for our kids....gross.

Ugh! Sorry...I knew I could never do that again.

Looks like you've got a great stack of books there, though. Any recommendations? Ha!

Just think, though. Maybe you're having a girl! I was the sickest when I was pregnant with Savannah. I carried those big plastic red cups with me everywhere. I'd puke while I was driving, could pull them out of my purse whenever I needed them. They were quite handy!

Send Gus over anytime! Really! He can play with Grant while I homeschool the other munchkins!

Oh Nicole! I am sorry. If it makes you feel better at all, I mourn my old life EVERYDAY too and ...I pee my pants every time I cough. Although I am getting induced tomorrow, I still have no clue what my future is. None.
Let me know how I can help.

Nicole - I hope you don't mind I found your blog from Michelle's. Your hubs told me you were pregnant the last time I had the kids over their for an appointment. I hope you can get over it quickly. I just hit my 30 week mark and I can see the light at the end. You know with as many kids as you've had that it is worth it in the end. Hang in there. I had the same problem with #6 and from then on. I don't think I left the house the first 15 weeks for the same reason. I can't jump on the trampoline either.
