I knew this was coming.......

With 4 boys, I've had 'Scouts' written on my forehead.

And I can't believe I'm posting this stupid picture of me.

Anyway, after a nice church calling maternity leave, I was just called to be the Wolf Den Leader.

And actually, I'm really excited.

There are way worse callings.

Like when I was the Primary pianist.....when I don't really play that well.  It was horrible!  I was constantly messing up.....kids trying to keep singing......me sweating, frantically trying to pick it back up again.......kids singing to no music.........me wanting to cry.......kids saying things like "Please bless Sister Mason that she can play the piano today" in the opening prayers...........

I'm not exaggerating.

So I'm loving this scout thing.

And I totally get boys.  I'm used to the noise & rowdiness.

Bring it on.

Seriously cool Den Mother. I never looked that good in my Scout shirt.
I love your blog, Nicole. You crack me up and your pics are beautiful.
Caroline is so darling and I am amazed that you are a Mom of 6. A Mom of 6. That is a big deal these days.
Oh and you look way good for 39 so soak it up and eat more Sprinkles. :) Love ya!

I love the scout mom picture, but I am wondering if you know about the difference between yellow shirts and brown ones? Brown ones are worn by those not having anymore children and the yellow ones are rumored for those who want more. Just a tidbit I learned a few years ago. I always said they were waiting to put me in when my #3 son was in scouts, but they seem to be able to control him without me. Maybe it will be my #4 son they will need me in there for. Have fun. Cool calling.

Lucky boys!

I laughed out loud while reading your piano nightmare. I always tell Adam I will leave the church if they call me as primary chorister. It's not that I can't lead music, it's that I am an alto and would sound like a man in drag if I had to sing with the children. OR I would have to sing so high that it would sound like I was one of those dog whistles. I would rather any other calling but that one.

That's why we are such good friends. We compliment each other. Where I fail, you succeed. :)
I could NEVER do the scout thing...and would much prefer playing the piano in primary!
